There are alot of perks to my job. As you may know, this profession entails way more than just clicking a shutter. This session was one of those moments that I realized how much I love all the other facets of being a wedding and portrait photographer. I have the opportunity to make friends with the most amazing people right about the happiest point in their lives. The stories I hear and the family histories I get to peek in on are priceless. For example…
Brandon is a real deal farmer. He grows things, from the land, to pay his bills. His family has been farming in Altus and the surrounding area for generations. He drove us around their expanse of wheat fields telling story after story about his family and how they came to own all those acres. It was especially meaningful to Brandon and Emily to shoot their engagement photos in those very fields. I certainly didn’t mind making the drive. Just so happens, I found the Altus police are pretty lenient on speeding.
